Ornament Exchange 2016

For the last 6 years I have participated  in an ornament exchange.  These two are the first that I have received for this year.  they are so cute.  

The Nativity comes from Nicole, Boise ID

This Santa Globe came from Brandie, Mesa AZ.

Every year they are so creative and I enjoy going to the mail box and finding a new ornament.

Ornament exchange #6

I got the last ornament today.  It had two ornaments in it.  They are both glass.  I don't have very good experience with glass ornaments they tend to get broken very easily.  hopefully I can keep this from happening. 

One is Gold metallic painted.

The other silver metallic painted.

If you look closely to the tree you will see that after more than 25 days this tree is still super green.  I feed this tree water every day.  It used to drink a gallon a day.  after two weeks it went to two quarts. Now it is about one quart of water.  It is slowing down but the tree is still so beautiful and feels so fresh. It has been a good Ornament exchange and I can not wait for the next years ornament exchange.

This cute star ornament came today.  I did need to glue one stick back on that had fallen off but it is as good as new.

This little lady snowman came today.  I believe she is made of polymer clay. Its a little bit bigger than a quarter but smaller than a silver dollar.

 

The ornament came in this cute tin box.

Ornament Exchange 2015 are arriving #1

I got my first ornament today from the Exchange I participate in every year.

When I opened the box the ornament was broken. It is a glass ornament.

I have plastic ones and so I just transferred everything into the plastic one and its as good as new.

Well this one is not round like the one that came, but It works just the same.

I can not wait for the rest of them to come.

Elf on the shelf makes a move during to day

This morning my nine year old had a melt down and made us late for school. Ornament has moved to show that she is very aware of how people are cooperating in the morning.  She has called the meeting to get some people to cooperate in the morning to order.

I searched for tall the little toys to make a circle meeting.  We will see how this is received when they get home from school today.

Can you name all the movies the characters come from? 

Yes most of them are happy meal toys from McDonalds. 

Which be the way make really good Christmas ornaments. 

These are the the peanuts happy meal toys from Nov. I made these four into ornaments for the girls.  They are really easy to make and so cute.

 I love ornament exchanges.  This is what I have made for this years ornament exchange.  

I know this looks too easy but they looked so cute and I learned new ways to fill plastic ornaments so that is always fun.

This snowflake came from Tiffany C. of Garland, UT. It was marked fragile and it had a big foot print on the package.  It broke a little but I fixed it and it is good to go.

This cool Micky ornament came from the Christa P. of West Valley City, UT.  She said this ornament is inspired by the fact that they are going on a Disney cruse in the new year.  Must be nice.

Ornament exchange ornaments have started to arrive

So I have started receiving ornaments from the online exchange that I participated in.

This cute baby Jesus came from Nicole C, Boise ID. She makes them for her primary class every year.

This Reindeer is from Amy J., Syraouse UT.

 The penguin comes from Amy T. Rifle CO.

The tree is from Christie L. Spanish Fork UT.

The Snow flake is from Kimberly J. Tremonton, UT.  This guy came with Snow in a can. So cute.

This tree was made by a three year old little girl, Shaelee, Placentia, CA.  Some of the beads came off so my five year old helped me put them back on.  Now she says this is hers because she fixed it.

Hudson Beach Glass Christmas Ornament #2

I am loving the Hudson Beach Glass Co.  I had to make another ornament. This one is my candy cane.

This is a hot place to stand.  My face turns red with in seconds.  I am sensitive to heat. But it is worth it.

Blow harder it is taking shape.

This is the first one I made two weeks ago.
I am hooked. I might have to go again.

My Blown Glass Christmas Ornament

We have this awesome place here in the Hudson Valley.  It is called Hudson Beach Glass Co.  They will let you make your own Christmas Ornament.  On my birthday I made this beauty.  I want to make a second one in red and white, to look like a candy cane.  Let the hot air begin.

Scrabble Christmas Ornaments

 I saw these on Pinterest.  I just had to make them. They turned out so cute.  For the teachers I spelled out last names.  One of the teachers names is 8 letters long.  Almost too long for an ornament. The pictured ornaments measure about 8" long.  The 8 letter one measured almost 12" long.  But my child helped with teachers and she is very proud.

The back is even cute.  I love Scrabble ornaments.  I have made other Scrabble ornaments in past years but these by far are my favorite.

Bunco party

I "Love" the game Bunco.  It was my turn to host with my group.  Here are the ornaments that I made for the party.

The dice are free floating so if you get board you can play Bunco.

For the past Three years I have participated in a Ornament Exchange with Craft Goodies blog.  These are the ornaments I plan to send out.  

I just wish my computer would correctly turn this clockwise.  I have been having one of those computer days.

This is the second year that I joined a blog ornament exchange. The six I mailed out I posted a picture of them in Nov. I only received 5 back. Oh well, these are great. So many talented people. Happy Holidays.

I love ornament exchanges

I love the time of the year when you get to share. Ornament exchange is way fun. Now this particular exchange will happen in Dec. but with the movers coming Friday I knew I needed to make some now. They aren't the greatest because most if my craft stuff is packed. I did the best I could. Hope they are enjoyed by the recipients.

scrabble christmas ornaments

 I had fun making these.  I got the idea from my friend Wendy at craft goodies.  They are easy.  However I made some with peoples names and I had to buy more than one scrabble game wouldn't you know it.  I have lots of K,X, and M's in my kids names.  Some of the games only had one or two and that just would not work.  Happy Holidays.
