Butterfly Pavilion field trip

I was lucky to go on a field trip with one of my kids last week to the Butterfly pavilion in Denver Colorado.
It was really fun.  One landed on my shoulder.  The picture above and below this one is the same type of butterfly open and closed.

The butterflies flew around this room freely.  They were dive bomb experts.
So  many different types to see.

Some butterflies I had never seen before.  They are native to South America.

All the different colors.

Yes I am holding this huge spider. Her name is Rosie.
