Halloween Banner

I love the fall.  It give my lots of time to work on costumes and decorations for Halloween.  So I went looking at my patterns wondering what Halloween project I would like to do.  I liked bits and pieces of patterns that I had.  But it didn't match up to what I was looking for.  So I put stuff together.  This is what I came up with.  I found clip art from my Word  program and then added parts of patterns to create this banner.  I really love how it turned out.  I thought I would share how I put it together. Tutorial Time!(:

You will need:
7 clip art pictures
7 Black felt squares
1/4 yard of three fabrics
scraps of various other colors
1 1/2 yard heat n bond
 Spool of Halloween ribbon
Buttons for eyes
quick fuse bias tape (for mummy)

1.So I went to my clip art section of Word and cut and paste a few Halloween pictures. I enlarged them to fit the page and then rotated them to have a mirror image. Then printed them.

2. I traced the pieces onto heat n bond. Cut the pieces out and ironed on the corresponding colors.

3.  Next I cut the pieces out and placed them on the black felt square, then Ironed them to the square.

4.  I used the blanket stitch and stitched it to the felt.

5.  I then cut out the figure leaving a 1/8" around the piece, leaving 1 3/4" piece at the top for weaving in ribbon.

6.  At the top of the piece I made two slits for weaving in ribbon.

7. Weave in ribbon.  Cut 3 2" strips from 3 different fabrics.  I used pinking sheers on the edges.  I cut in half and then in half again.  this will give you four strips from each strip.

8.  I tied each of the three fabrics on each side of each figure.  Hang up.  Happy Halloween.  OK.  I did not leave it up it is too early.   Now what to do next?
