bows using blind bag toys

If you girls are any thing like mine they love the blind bag toys.  They watch videos about them and ask for one every time we go to the store.
Today I thought they would make great bows.
The new troll movie coming out already has blind bags so I got a few to make bows.  This is how they turned out.  I like the first one better.

This bow was my first and I improved it on the next.

We have lots of Shopkins and so my daughter asked for this carrot to be in a bow.  I think it turned out cool too.
I will probably be making more like this.  My girls are loving them.

Easter Lantern Swag

I kind of went crazy with this Easter Lantern Swag.  It is a little bigger than I expected.  I am still learning.  However, it might be too big but it is so awesome.  I love it.  southerncharmwreaths.com is my inspiration for making this Easter decoration.

It really helps to have a Michael's and a Hobby Lobby close by.  The flowers and Easter picks come from these two places.

I got the ribbon on Etsy.  I really love that I could buy it by the yard.  One yard a each ribbon was cheaper than buying all seven by the roll.  No waste and all good. The bow is called a funky bow.  You get to use all kids of ribbon and it makes a colorful bow. Check out http://makewreaths.com/how-to-make-a-whimsical-funky-bow/ to see the tutorial for this bow.

My girls never really wanted bows but now the youngest is asking for new ones every couple of days.

Pinterest has great tutorials and I have been trying them out.

Bows for the girls

My youngest is interested in hair bows.  She wanted me to make her a new bow.  I had about 20 minutes before the bus came so here is what I came up with.

It started with this one yesterday went the girls had to have a green bow for St. Patrick's Day.  This one for one girl.

And this one for the other.  I was trying to make it look like a four leaf clover.  However I have one to many leafs.  Oh well.

Now I am off to the store the youngest wants a few more bows.  Michael's always has ribbon on sale.
