Valentines candy bouquet for the girls teachers

I love the way candy bouquets look.  I made these for the girls to give to teachers for Valentines day next week.

Of course they are fighting over which one because I made them slightly different.  I will have to flip a coin to solve the dilemma.
I found the paint containers at Walmart. These two turned out great.

I hid more candy inside the container.  Hugs and sweat tarts for the teachers too.

Valentine Lantern Swag and Valentine Decor

I have been a fan of Southerncharmwreaths.com for a couple of years.  I watched her lantern swag video tutorial and had to make one for my self.
Between Micheal's and Hobby Lobby I got all the flowers, picks and ribbon.
The lantern is too small but I am thinking of getting a new one. The best part of this whole cute swag is I can take it off and put on different one for the next holiday.
This is my valentine set up in the foyer.
After I took the first pictures I saw that I needed to add one more flower pick to the top.
I almost forgot about my last year heart pictures.

Happy Valentines Day!

Scrabble Valentine Canvas art

During the Blizzard of 2015 that did not happen where I live, I like in NY 50 miles from the city. I need a project for my girls to help me with.  So I went to Micheal's, before the storm, and got two 12 x 12 canvas and these two decorative wood hearts.  Then I had them paint the canvas's.  They love to paint.  After they were dry I glued the hearts and the scrabble tiles.  So super easy and up on the wall they went.

They are always asking to do projects with mom.

They turned out so super cute and so easy to do.

Happy Valentines Day early!

Way Cute Valentine's Banner

So the season of love is just around the corner.  Hopefully you fill like this with your spouse all year round.  However, since they dedicate a whole day to it I had to make a banner.  I must apologise for the lighting or the camera or the operator the pictures are terrible.
 A stamp and kissable lips.
The key to my heart and a box of candy.
Cupids arrow and Be Mine heart.
Cupid himself and a red rose.
Together they make a very cute valentines banner.

I made this the same way I made my Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Banners.  Click the title to see the post.  To get the tutorial visit the Halloween post.  I am currently working on my Easter Banner.  So keep a look out for it.  Also I am going to start a Etsy shop soon So look for that as well.  I am working on stuff to put on my shop so it will be a week or two before I get it up and going.  Enjoy!

Valentines Day Wall Hanging

A few years ago I wanted to make a valentines wall hanging.  I looked around and found some but I didn't like the blocky look of paper pieced hearts quilting patterns.  This is way before I started doing any applique quilting.  So I drew my own pattern for paper pieced hearts.  I call this "Hearts Family"  At the time I only had 5 members of my family.  One for each of us.  Now that I have more children I guess  there are not enough hearts but I can live with that for now.

Ok here is a funny funny for ya!
This is my Emma. She picked her clothes today.  Notice all the colors.

Pink shirt, Brown skirt, and Red tights.  I guess they go together somewhat, however the skirt is fall material and the shirt has hearts.  Or as my daught would say her kirts and hirts.  She has a hard time saying the "S" sound at the beginning of a word. It is very cute.  Sometimes it takes a few minutes to figure out what she is saying.  That is the only letter she has problems with.

I add this post to

go see other cool post.
